Academy achieves excellent NAPLAN results

The Central West Leadership Academy has achieved excellent results in their first Year 7 NAPLAN tests.

The Year 7 class averages were 2 performance bands above the national average in all domains.

Ms Mandi Randell, Principal of the Academy said, “I am very proud of our cohort’s success in the NAPLAN. With the individual learning plans and differentiation, students were able to get the support they needed for their own next step, which allowed them to excel in this measure of academic skills”

Ms Randell further added, “ We offer a well balanced and rigorous curriculum full of critical thinking and real world challenges. This enables our students to experience a broad range of high achievement from strong NAPLAN scores, to 8th place in the da Vinci Decathlon earlier in the year, second place in the Western Region High School Chess competition and strong results in Future Problem Solving. ”
