About
The Central West Leadership Academy is committed to providing exceptional educational opportunities to talented and deserving students.
Our scholarship program is designed to recognise and support students who demonstrate outstanding potential in academics, leadership, arts, sports, community service, or may require financial assistance to attend our Academy.
Below are the details regarding our scholarship awards, eligibility criteria, and application process:
Scholarship Awards
Full Scholarships. Cover 100% of tuition fees for the duration of the student's attendance at the Academy, subject to annual review and the student maintaining satisfactory academic progress and conduct.
Partial Scholarships. Cover up to 50% of tuition fees and are awarded based on the same criteria as full scholarships.
Eligibility Criteria
Merit-Based Scholarships. These are awarded to students who show exceptional talent in academic achievement, leadership qualities, artistic or sporting accomplishments, or contributions to community service.
Diversity and Inclusion Scholarships. These scholarships are specifically designed to support students from underrepresented backgrounds, including, but not limited to, Indigenous students, students with disabilities, and students recently arrived in Australia.
Need-Based Scholarships. Aimed at students who demonstrate significant financial need, in addition to meeting the CWLAβs academic and extracurricular standards.
All scholarship applicants must also meet the general enrolment criteria of The Academy.
Step 1.
Application Process
Application Submission. Interested applicants are required to complete a scholarship application form, available on the CWLA's website or through the admissions office. This form must be submitted by the specified deadline, along with any required documentation, which may include academic records, personal statements, letters of recommendation, and evidence of financial need (for need-based scholarships).
Step 2.
Review and Selection. The CWLA Scholarship Committee reviews scholarship applications and assesses each candidate's eligibility, achievements, and potential contribution to the school community. The selection process may also include interviews or auditions, as appropriate for the type of scholarship.
Step 3.
Notification. The committee will notify applicants of its decision by a specified date. Scholarship recipients will receive detailed information about the terms and conditions of their award, including any requirements for maintaining the scholarship throughout their enrolment at the CWLA.
Step 4.
Acceptance. Recipients must formally accept the scholarship offer within the timeframe specified in the offer letter. Acceptance includes agreeing to any terms and conditions associated with the scholarship.
