NAPLAN Results 2022

Dubbo’s Central West Leadership Academy has topped the region with its 2022 NAPLAN results. The overall results for Year 9 have the Academy ranked 81st in the state, on the same score as the elite Sydney boarding school Kambala.

The results show that the Central West Leadership Academy was the standout for the region and was among the top schools on the national stage.

“The scores reflect the potential we have in our community and is something Dubbo should be proud of. It highlights what can be cultivated with a balanced curriculum of critical thinking, real-world challenges and community engagement,”” said Mandi Randell, Principal, Central West Leadership Academy.

NAPLAN test results provide information on how students are performing in the areas of literacy and numeracy. The Central West Leadership Academy had the highest number of students in the region that sat ‘well above’ the nation’s average, with its Year 9 class sitting ‘well above’ the national average on all NAPLAN measures.

The Academy’s Year 5 class performed ‘well-above’ the national average in reading, writing and numeracy.

“The NAPLAN results show that the Central West Leadership Academy is truly fostering new skills and delivering top literacy and numeracy results on both a national level and with students of a similar socio-economic background,” said Ms Randell.
